RICHMOND HILL, Ontario, Canada—February 10, 2012: PCI Geomatics, a world-leading developer of geoimaging software and systems, announced today that it is now offering image processing services —leveraging its award winning GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL) technology.
PCI has invested significantly in developing highly automated, high-performance image production systems designed to process large volumes of imagery quickly, efficiently, and with a high degree of quality. A service which leverages these systems is now available through PCI’s new GXL Professional Production Services. The GXL Professional Production Services are ideally suited to help customers who are faced with sudden peaks in demand for their color-balanced, orthorectified mosaic products, derived from raw aerial or satellite imagery. Calling upon PCI’s GXL Professional Production Services can provide these customers with additional processing capacity.
“Customers who have large volumes of imagery and require a quick turnaround for their processing can now call upon our GXL Professional Production Services to perform the processing for them,” said Brad Schmidt, VP of Sales and Marketing at PCI Geomatics. “Using our own GXL systems and expertise, we can now provide this advanced capability as a service at a very affordable price.”
PCI’s GXL Professional Production Services offer customers processing capability for most commercial satellite and aerial sensors. Highly accurate derived products can be generated from raw imagery provided by customers using the advanced GXL systems within PCI’s facilities. Production capacity can be quickly scaled up through the GXL’s scalable architecture; as well, the highly automated GXL processing systems can operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in order to meet any production schedule. The service also offers the opportunity for existing Geomatica customers to become acquainted with the GXL and its potential suitability for their operational requirements going forward.
